Well now, what have I been up to since last year...
- I've been working on a variety of web projects for Kyle Loranger Design Inc., which proves that long-distance working relations do work! One of my favorite projects was designing a website for a new e-commerce company.
- I've also worked with some local clients, including re-vamping the Benjamin Monn Photography website. In a similar vein is the new H.A.I. Heidingsfelder Architekten und Ingenieure website, which also sports an interactive portfolio.
- Akis Apartments will soon be turning over a new leaf, with a re-designed website. The original site was in need of a fresher image, and now, the content has been consolidated into fewer, richer pages. We also focused on search engine optimization this time around.
- And of course, Matthieu Clouqueur, Ph.D., has a squeaky-clean new website, to boast his skills. His teeth twinkle.
Right now, I'm looking forward to spending Christmas with family and friends in Calgary, Canada.

Clouqueur.net is now on-line! Our slick, new website is packed with lots of new content, including an updated portfolio and an ever-expanding Resources section. On the technical side, the website is XHTML strict with valid CSS, with some PHP-driven content and browser detection, and will soon rely on the WordPress system for partial content management. View the web portfolio for more details.
I hope you all enjoy perusing the site. Your comments all always appreciated, so please feel free to send a message with your feedback.

I've recently completed website and flash development for Benjamin Monn (www.benjaminmonn.com), a Munich-based photographer. The website planning and visual design is by Inés Borrás.
Benjamin wanted his website to primarily showcase his numerous photography works, and liked the interactivity that Flash has to offer. He wanted his users to have the possibility to view his work with a slider button and a play/stop button. The images scroll through the Flash movie at a set rate, but the user can speed up the scrolling by moving the slider. Likewise, they can pause/restart the progressive scrolling with a button.
The website is XHTML and CSS compliant with various embedded Flash movies, and a CGI-based online form. All animations are programmed in ActionScript, which reduces the files size and makes updating the website a matter of simply editing the code. I've also included Javascript code that checks what version of Flash the website user has installed, and displays an "update Flash" link if the Flash version is not up to date. Of course, this also works if Javascript is disabled.
Feedback from his website has been very positive to date. We still have a few tweaks to make, but I encourage you all to visit his website and view his amazing photography work. You can also view his website in my on-line portfolio.
